One other comment...avocado in an omelette? You Coloradians (is that a word?) have interesting tastes. Love the idea of the Ethiopian coffee, though.
Peace,
Jo

What's not to love about avocados? Yeah, a local coffee roaster, based on my liking strong flavor but not liking it bitter, recommended that I go with African or Mexican coffees. (Oh, and it's "Coloradoans")

Mame's next picture: cougar
They follow the deer.
Careful, Mame!
|
I have told my friends that it isn't a good idea to feed the deer, but they don't listen. I enjoy seeing them, but feeding them bread isn't doing any favors to their health and long-term well-being. 3 bachelors live in that house, and the woman in the picture feeding them is just a visitor like me.
They have also had Lynx come to their back deck and taken some great pictures of those.
They entertain a lot and have several freezers, some of them in the garage. One day they noticed a momma bear and 2 cubs near the back deck playing with something that looked like a ball. After watching for some time they figured out that it was really a ham. They were cracking up laughing at some poor fool who'd lost a ham, when finally one of them noticed that the garage door was up. One of the freezer doors was standing wide open...turns out that frozen ham was theirs!
Actually, I'd love to get a nice cougar picture...from the safety of my car!

Here in Boulder, the cougars eat the poodles and such and then the homeowners demand the cats be tracked and killed.

Mame - How refreshing to be able to enjoy the wildlife, especially after a long day at work.
Rich - so funny (or is it?)!
Believe.

Colorado is a good place to have "indoor only" pets. A fox left the remains of a house cat's spine and paws in my back yard once. I'm glad to be an overprotective mother whose precious kitties never go outside.

Mame the grill in your first deer picture is the same one we have--if it has a gas burner on the left side (which is hidden by a deer ear in the photo). We're using the grill today to make yummy dinner because it is 75 degrees and sunshiny awesome today. I should find a way to post my baby boy photos...I'm so thankful for him (even when he's screaming his head off all day long like today--yoish!). Much love!

Krista, good to see ya'. Been wondering how Moma and Daddy and Baby Makes Three are doing. I imagine you are one busy lady these days.
Rich, what is it with your cougar obsession?
Peace and Love,

Uh oh! One mention = an obsession?! I am in a heap of dung!
But if you're talkin' 'bout a different kind of cougar, nibble my neck!

I am scratching my (hard) head, wondering how the heck did I miss Mame's comment on shoes (muddy ones, at that, which are the best kind), food, and coffee. I went back and saw it...
Mame, I am very very VERY impressed!!!
Peace,
Jo
