Two years ago
I locked my keys in my truck
while I was out for a run
a nice guy gave me a ride home
to my apartment to get my spare.
Two years later
I locked 'em in my truck again
while I was out on a run
I borrowed a cell phone and called
the same guy to rescue me.
Only this time
he stopped to get the spare
and brought it to me on my run
now his home is my home
both keys unlock the same door.

Too cool!! Sounds like ya'll were "fated" to meet.
This poem reminds me of relationships I was in where we did the key exchange. That used to scare the hell outta' me but also made me feel kinda' warm and fuzzy. Go figure. Only twice in my life have I shared the SAME key with another...maybe some day I will do it again.
Peace and Love,
Jo

ohhhhhh Sassss....
I like this story.
Though it makes me smile. I would share a key with my housemates, except we leave the doors open all the time. The only thing worth any money in our house is instruments and laptops. We don't have a t.v. or anything...
Anyway, today a nice Morman chap stopped by to see if we wanted our alarm fixed for free (it costs a dollar a day to run it, and we don't even lock our door, so we said no).
And I had to chuckle... I don't have a spare to the van I drive in Dayton. I would have to call Cleveland to have them send a spare if I locked my keys in the van. I think I'd call triple A and have them find a way to open the van first, and have someone I know come pick me up. I've been thinking about this, because I'm always paranoid about making sure I have my keys before I lock the van!!!
Still loving the story....
Peace in your hearts,
With the love of my soul

Sassssss..... I'm on to you. You locked 'em in there on purpose the FIRST time, didn't you? Lovely story, well told. Think of the symbolism in it too. WOWsy, woo!
Believe.

Lots of people have accused me of the same, but nope, it was a total genuine blonde moment. At least I only have them every two years.
