rich's great gratitude.....
i bravely move out from the dark for this one.
and know how hard it is.
today,
well almost today (it's a little before midnight and i can't sleep)...
April 1st (april fools day) 1989...
best thing ever happaned.
20 years ago today
(no, not sgt pepper teaching the band to play)
tom and i said our i do's and pledged death do us part.
this is my 4th anniversary without him....20th...big number.
i miss him so...
but, oh, how i loved him..
and he loved me so.
i am so grateful for the almost 17 years we were married, not long enough, but nothing would ever be.
we found story people together, in a little gallery in cambria, california.
and i found this site on my own, after he was gone.
thank god.
thank you all for the support and love and laughter, and caring and sparkles and pie
and thank you tom, for the love and passion and happiness and, oh, everything, you shared with me in the time we had together.
i am truly grateful
peace,
mish

Bravo Mish. Doesn't that feel better--gratitude? Never mind--you don't have to answer. I know it does.

i'm about to go to sleep,
but wanted to thank you all...
and, even though i don't have to answer...
gratitude is the best.
i had a really good day.
i slept in,
i dreamed some dreams about things to do to improve my home and actually made a list,
i read some stories and played with my dog,
and waited for tom to make himself known, clearly to me (and he does..it's a very thin veil some days).
and so, i asked my son out to dinner, for a treat and we spent almost 2 hours talking and laughing and being together in a great and positive way..the best we've talked in forever.
and i felt tom sitting on my shoulder, whispering the right words to say. and i thanked him, with a grateful and full of love heart.
as i do all of you.
peace, mish

Dearest Mish,
This gave me a chill when I read it. An early spiritual teacher wrote -- and it has been my experience since -- that we feel those chills when we encounter spiritual truths. I am SO thankful that you and your son had that magical time together and I wish you much more of that. I am glad Tom is so near...love IS eternal.
With love,
rich

Me too; head to toe goosebumps...and I know I've tapped something sacred.

My grandma died years ago but there are times I swear she is right beside me. It's kind of hard to describe...like I catch a whiff of that perfume she always wore or just "feel" her energy or I have a really neat dream about her and it's like she was THERE, ya' know. I get a warm fuzzy feeling when it happens.
As for the goosebumps, I get those when a really important goes on in my head or heart. Never thought about that as being spiritual in nature. Hmm...like the idea.
Peace,
Jo

Mish,
I am so glad you had a special day... your post brought tears to my eyes before I even got to the part about your son, and ohhhh how glad I am that you both had some positive time together, and that Tom was there with you and helping you know the right words to say. They come from within you, too.... those right words, and I know they are within your son, too, before he even hears them, though he still needs to hear them...
And the goosebumps, the sacred simplicity of the presence of a loved one in a different than physical way that we are accustomed to... there is a physicality to the presence of something spiritual, in the chills we feel, in our minds and hearts, the opening up to give .... Oh how grateful I am that you had this day.
With great love and joy and gratitude,
~Mallory
Peace in your hearts,
