The world is a happier place
It truly is,
I thought for a while that it was the joy that we shared with the world.
People who see us together smile
They comment on how well we look together
We brighten people's days and lives.
As the love that we share has grown
I realize;
It doesn't matter if she is standing beside me or not
People see OUR love in ME
Our love makes people smile
When I think of all of the things I wanted to be when I grew up,
Superhero stood tall
To save the world
Can't rightly save it now...
Therapy has shown me the faults of rescue fantasies... lol
But I can make it happier
And we do
