wonderful!! all of it!!
I wanna play too but there's just so-o-o-o much it's hard to pick just one to post (wait...could that be 'abundance?!)
so...completely random selections:
Kindess: Mom helped me paint my favorite bench on the porch this weekend.
Beauty: butterflies!! at least a dozen of 'em
Abundance: butterflies!!
~~~
and, ohhhh....i'd love to see your new chandelier, too, Kindred!!
I've been making found-object tealight chandeliers to hang in the trees...fun and so pretty when the light hits it!
and VBGF has been feeding the fever by bringing 'supplies' when she comes out (guess that goes under kindness & abundance, too, huh?!)
made a pretty one outta crystal drops and a cute fishing themed one for my brother!
We are not human beings making a spiritual journey...we are spiritual beings making a human journey.
kindness: being left all by myself to read my book i've had since christmas uninterrupted.
beauty: the couple we met while standing in line at a restaurant celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary, and ended up talking to most of the night.
abundance: good, honest, open conversation without fear of judgement or rejection, and making relationships even closer.
it was a good weekend...
Kindness: I gave a ride to someone who had car trouble.
Beauty: The lovely cool breeze that was blowing in my window this morning.
Abundance: Ummm...sorry I'm having one of those days...all I can think of is an abundance of unpaid bills.
Yesterday: Kindness - When my British friend, Bella's flight was delayed and I still had to work third shift, my anam cara's Dad let her stay the night at his place close by so that I could get her to the airport in time. She didn't have to get a cab! And they got to chat some, which is always good.
Beauty: Bel's laughter...
Abundance: Pulling into my driveway to be greeted by my little coonhounds as if I had been gone for a month rather than overnight.
(all of that was just yesterday between 7 am and 8:30 am!)
Today
Kindness: Mame is too sweet and I enjoyed talking with her every bit as much as she enjoyed talking to me! (12:42 to 2 am counts for today, right?)
Beauty: watching the sun rise on my drive home from work.
Abundance: making amazing soup with my mom using all the vegetables from the market and then some!
I found Kindred's comment about many things which are not love being called such - well, thought provoking. I think I could actually grasp what you are saying. And I think I agree with Scarlett - because its true and it is not. But then, Love is what I believe in. And Everything seems to come back to it... but that is a whole 'nother thread.
I love the stories on Tough Love- again - its one of those that needs to be marked for when I have children who are older than Caleb. But then, feeding an infant veggies before fruits might be tough love - so they have an open mind about loving veggies, right? Different kind of tough love, I know.
Kindness and Abundance: A woman I met with at a coffee shop to write her a couple of policies, insisted on buying me an iced latte! She had no idea that I didn't have enough in my bank account to pay for it.
Beauty: One of the women at the networking event I attended was dressed all funky in hot pink and had a beautiful bejeweled butterfly clip in her red hair.
Abundance and Kindness: My amazing friends!
Kindness: i was working late and the cleaning lady told me how good I look after a 10-hour day that got an hour and a half late start because of traffic.
Beauty: the flower a co-worker put on my desk from her garden
Abundance: work (but that's good because it might mean job security)
Kindness - My neighbor searched a junkyard for a car part I needed and saved me $50 a day after I needed it, without me asking him! He even took off work early to get it for me!
Beauty - The joy on the face of a girl who lives a block away when she came to collect her kitty that escaped and was cornered by a neighbor kid and I under a car in the parking lot next door.
Abundance - Mom and I are leaving for Chicago for 6 days - tomorrow!! We have an abundance of family and fun and joy to look forward to!! (today??!! )
Peace in your hearts,
With the love of my soul
Kindness and Abundance: A friend invited herself and another woman over to my house to watch a movie because her DVD player was messed up. She brought rotisserie chicken, macaroni salad, french bread and applesauce. I needed someone to break me out of hermit mode.
And another friend paid me a great kindness, which I am counting but keeping to myself.
Beauty: My lovely furry babies.
kindness - my guy going to help out a friend even through severe back pain, who in return, sent home a fabulous homemade pizza.
beauty - having a co-worker tell me a story about a kind, giving, generous person who turned out to be another co-worker.
abundance - having a conversation with the same kind, giving, generous co-worker that turned into wave after wave of fits of breathless laughter and giggles, which we both needed.
Kindness -- former co-workers planning a get together, including some of us who have retired, for no special reason other than they wanted to see us.
Beauty -- the warm smiles on the faces of those co-workers and the little goldfish pond, water fall and gardens in the outdoor area of the restaurant this evening.
Abundance -- a million memories gathered over 25 years of working with those friends.
Kindness: I was trying for quite some time to talk myself into getting outside to take a walk, when a friend called and said "I'm at Garden of the Gods. Wanna come join me!"
Beauty: Got to drink in the beauty of my favorite rock garden and lots of sunflowers and purple wildflowers along the trail. Beautiful day!
Abundance: Had 2 friends over for dinner and finally cooked my wonderful meatloaf recipe I haven't used in years, with baked potatoes and a lovely salad.
