the smell of fall
the sun kissing my cheeks
the crackle of leaves under my feet
the crazy urge to jump in the piled up leaves on the way to work
that crabby old lady on the train that makes you want to hold her hand
getting lost in the thought of what may be

Vacations. Vacations with someone you love. Vacations on a cruise ship with a balcony. Vacations to beautiful exotic foreign lands. Vacations because they rejuvenate my spirit and recharge the batteries of my soul.

I'm thankful that I found this website. I've been working at a relief center to assist hurricane Katrina victims every day for the past three months and my 'pond' is empty.
I remembered reading a book years ago by an artist named Brian ...somebody....I couldn't remember the last name but I remembered the great artwork and the wonderful stories.
I was actually looking for inspiration for a pictorial quilt I wanted to make to tell the story of our struggles here in Louisiana, when I happened upon this link.....and what do ya know!?????...it's Brian somebody.

I am grateful for a hot summer mellowing into fall
that all I have to do is make banana bread and walk the ol' sweet black dog
and write a letter to my 6 year old

at this very moment, I am grateful that I cannot list all that I am grateful for... so to name a few...
To FINALLY know that Shawn Mullins is the one who sings that song! And I'm thankful to inmy child's heart: Shell" for inadvertently letting me know that...
I'm thankful to e.e.cummings and all who love his work.
thank you god for most this amazing day
for the leaping greely spirits of trees
and the blue true dream of sky
and for everything which is natural
which is infinite
which is yes
-E. E. Cummings
and I'm thankful to Brian Andreas for building this reverent place for thankful people, loving people, and for helping us all to connect to one another.
I'm also thankful for ...
Music. Angels, friends. Animals - especially my Sophie, and my chinchilla Chinca, family and their bondedness...the lifetime lived together and the lifetime to come, even if we are taken from one another too soon... and Jesus... Triduum is here, and its hard not to think of that, even when I feel shaky on parts of my religious views because of organized religion, I still believe wholeheartedly in the source... in the origin of that sacred connectedness we all share, and in the many stories which bring it to the surface, and I am thankful for that beyond words. ... For unconditional love.
Peace in your hearts,
With the love of my soul

As many of you old souls already know, where to begin and where to finish when it comes to being grateful for who we are, how we are continuously evolving and the many stories that sway our way...
I am grateful for my eyes that read,
my heart which lets me love despite such heartache,
my hands that can write every little crazy beautiful
thing that ticks inside my head,
my body that continues to dance my greatest passion,
and my big one, how grateful l am for all of the astounding people l have met along the way...
- otherwise who really cares what we are grateful 4, if we couldnt share any of it with someone...
Sorry lm never around at the moment spunky chickens, just mega busy with little internet access - l promise, you are all thought of dearly and cant wait to play once again...
Much luv txo
'Without Much'
Without much certainty or security,
l will hold onto what l need,
give what l have,
& walk into the beauty
of the unknown future...
