Oh Mame!

The beauty of the mountains....
simply stunning.

I've always felt drawn to Colorado...
Every time you post pictures of your "backyard," ~smiles,~
I yearn for it.

Thank you for encouraging dreams!
With love,
~Mallory

Mame.... simply stunning photos - are you a professional photographer?

And I agree, you are beautiful - your smile is your window and your heart and soul shine through with brilliance! And apparently your special correspondence guy sees it too!!

I'll have to upload some pics and share my grateful things.....

Wow, I'm slipping! Even after I finally saw Mallory's post, I still totally missed this one! Thank you so much, Boo, for your kind words!

No, I am a total point-and-shoot amateur, but I do enjoy sharing the beautiful things I get to see with others! Someday I'd like to get a "real" photographer's camera and take some classes.

Unfortunately, correspondence guy has long been past history.

Please do give us some "thankfulness pictures"! I'd love to see them!

Okay, I know it's May, but it is snowing here today, still going back and forth between the seasons,
so I'm gonna share something I've been thankful for for many months:

THE BEAUTY OF WINTER TREES! In every season there is beauty, if we just cultivate the awareness to see it!

This is the Aspen tree in my front yard:

The rest of these were taken on walks through my neighborhood:

That's a lot of Winter! By May, I'm plenty ready to see the green things and the pretty flowers again.

But I'm sure CO would be fun to visit. Do you think it'll be green there by July? My beau and I are headed out west for our honeymoon this summer.

Actually, some of these pictures were sittin' in my camera for a good bit. Trees and flowers are blooming here now, despite the occasional snow storm. My tulips in the front yard always pop up before it's done snowing. They usually get snowed on either before or after they open up, but they're pretty hardy.

Actually if you go back to page 2 of this string and look at the second picture there--that one was taken at the end of May last year.

July is a good time to come to the rockies! So have you two not decided where exactly you're going?

Well we're going to Nappa Valley (flying into San Francisco), but the details are still fuzzy. We'd like to rent a car but with the price of gas being what it is, we might just have to lay low. Though we do know some people in CO (namely, his sister) and wouldn't mind visitng the home of Focus on the Family as well. But that's a lot to cram into a week so we'll see.

Cool! Unfortunately driving from Napa to Colorado is a pretty long drive if you only have a week total to enjoy yourselves. I think flying might be a better option, but maybe that's what you're thinking...rent a car when you get to CO? (If you do it)

Anyway, just in case...I just sent you an email (using the button that brings up your personal email).

His name is Frankie, named after St. Francis. He had bad pneumonia when he was born and the owners prayed to St. Francis to make him better and he lived.

As for taking care of him when we're away...we were just talking about that this morning. Sweetheart contemplated taking him with us and I'm like "Hunny...he whimpers and yelps when we leave the house for a short time. Do you really think he'd do well on a plane?" I think we've found some nice people from church to take care of him though. There's a list of possibilities, just gotta narrow it down.

He's really a joy. He even has his own blog (I know, we're pathetic). http://frankiepup.blogspot.com--Go check it out.

Aw thanks. And it's not silk, it's more of a stiff cotton. Got it from my grandma, actually. She's got style. But turquoise and I seem to get along, eh?
