Grateful for a New Year
A New year sweeping through,
like an inventory, a contemplation,
glancing back and finding
change, finding
somewhere bolder
and sweeter.
A new year grinning
sheepishly with forward call,
asking for more, asking
for a wide sweep of where
we be. Who are we,
after all? Who
will we wider be,
tomorrow?
