just thought I'd share a true story:
on Friday, my 5-year-old daughter woke me up by bringing me breakfast in bed. She brought me toast (ok, so it wasn't actually toasted, but who cares?) with grape jelly, and milk in a sippy-cup with the lid on it ("so you won't spill, Mommy").
Never having been treated to breakfast in bed, I was surprised and thrilled.... and she sat sweetly at my feet while I ate my breakfast.
When I got about half way through the toast, she said, "that's the part where Spot (the cat) licked the toast, Mommy, but I covered it up with extra jelly."
ahhhh, the joys of motherhood.
