***Big Hugs*** Mame - hope all is going well out there. What is the snow like at the new place?

Kindness today - the young boy helping me bag my clients groceries sounded so sincere about driving safe in all this snow...

Beauty - the warmth in my house and generosity of joy and smiles and love even when everyone is tired and Christmas day is past. My puppy climbing in my lap today for extra lovin', and Sophie giving her kisses instead of acting jealous. Sweetness and cuteness abounds!

Abundance - the angels keeping people safe on these roads! And the way the snow makes me feel like I'm in a magical snowglobe. I'm also headed to a Girl Scout Reunion - that should be a lot of fun!

I feel like I have so much to the thankful for in the busy simplicity of the last two days.

Kindness - the presence of longtime friends in my life the past two days.
- the people who helped Mom at the airport
- the woman who held the heavy door for me today at the library
- the openness of a client's wife about books and teaching
Beauty - the velvet of the sky
- my puppy snoring right now
- my other, more mature and liscenced therapy dog

delighting my client today.
- the twinkle in my best friend's eye when she turned to me yesterday and said, "Want to be delinquents?" I turned to her and said, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" "Want to go for a drive through the valley instead of all that stuff we should do?" "a' course!" 10 minutes later, the way she clapped her hands in delight when I turned to her at the dollar store and said, "Wanna be delinquents?" "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" "Wanna get some klondike bars for our drive through the valley?"
"Those ones, right there!!!" *giggles*

Abundance - Time to make chocolate covered pretzels and have an impromptu girls night today...
- Time with my precious family tonight
- Time tomorrow with my anam cara!!

Kindness and Abundance: Friends who have season tickets and couldn't use them last night, gave me a coupla symphony tickets: excellent seats in the middle of the balcony! The friend I invited to accompany me, said, "Wow! I was just praying about wanting to get out more and go to plays and concerts! I've been working so hard but still didn't feel like I could spend the money. This is an answer to prayer!" So, since she didn't have to buy a ticket, she bought me dinner at a fun art deco diner kind of a place downtown! Yummy gumbo and pear walnut green salad.

Beauty: Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1, followed by some Beethoven. The Chopin felt like it was lighting up parts of my brain that were napping! Like someone was playing the lovely notes on the top of my head!

K -kindness - a friend offering brainstorms of solutions
B -beauty - a gathering of new friends who already feel like family
A - abundance - the healthy daughter of a friend who is also a "Sister."

Beauty: An absolutely perfectly beautiful day as I took a walk through my neighborhood, which happens to be in a forest!

Kindness and Abundance: The generousity of my wonderful friend's invitation to come and rent a room in her house in this lovely neighborhood, (to which she even did a little remodeling to make it work for me), for less than most of the apartments in not-at-all-nice parts of town would have cost me. And her sharing of not only the house and utilities, but deeper friendship and encouragement and creative ideas and parties and food and being included in parties and extended family gatherings, and confidences and laughter!

Beauty, Abundance: WOW! Trip to Aspen yesterday. Drank in SO much beauty: Maroon Bells and also Independence Pass on the way too and from! Enjoyed the matchless artistry of my Maker!

Kindness: My friend inviting me to come along to Aspen while she drove the whole way to and from in one day so we wouldn't have to spend money on a hotel.
