~A big beautifully arranged pot of wildflowers delivered to the front desk at work, with a note from "my secret admirer". I'm very intrigued. I have NO IDEA who it is!
(There was something cryptic about more surprises to come on Friday! Didn't seem connected to my birthday. Hmmm.)
~Turning 45 I guess it beats the alternative!
~An extra day off (3 day "weekend") to celebrate out of town.
~Shimmering gold in the trees.
~Driving across Independence Pass for the first time ever!
~Autumn awe at 12,000 feet!
~Getting in too late to set up my tent, and happening into probably the most reasonable decent hotel in town, because I HAD to find a bathroom.

~A soak in the whirlpool under the stars. Awwwwww!
~Tomorrow, (my b-day), I will see the awesome Maroon Bells for the first time!
~Memories of the only other time I was in Aspen . . . how very young I was . . . in 1986.
~This computer in the hotel lobby.
~Hot Mandarin Orange Spice Tea

I am thankful for...
Soft, drizzly days
Snow fields encircled by ghost trees
Music
Autumn
Long rambles in the hills
Time alone
Hand-made paper and sharp pencils
The sound of rushing water
Moonlight and starshine
Work
Understanding and forgiveness
Sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, and mobility
Memories
