I didn't see the chamisas in bloom at your place, I just remembered for some reason hearing you talk about how much you enjoy them when you are making a trip down to NM, and being struck by how enthusiastic you were about them. I think it stuck in my mind because I had never really looked at them closely at that time, and had thought they were pretty ordinary. I like it when people help me see the beauty in things!

For the beautiful perfect double rainbow I saw yesterday while hiking!
I couldn't get far enough away to do it justice.
It was visible all the way across, touching down on the other end as well.

That Spring has come, turning everything green...even in the high desert!
(This was taken after the rain, at the end of my hike yesterday also).

I understand, Kandy. I grew up in a suburb of Oklahoma City, and as far as I'm concerned, the only reason anyone would want to go there is to see people they love. So I definitely don't take Colorado for granted!

I am thankful for the beautiful retreat I got to enjoy in January with friends. This is the cabin half of us stayed in.

It was a winter wonderland. We actually went tubing down this county road.

That's pretty! Even though I'm not sure how I feel about all that snow...

Snow means cold, no doubt. But Greg and I have dreams...and maybe we'll find ourselves occupying some turf in the Western US one day.
