One of my favourite speakers suggests before you go to sleep at night, ponder:

* The kindness shown to you that day
* The beauty you saw that day
* The abundance you received that day

Great way to Prep yourself for a good night's sleep!

KINDNESS, BEAUTY, ABUNDANCE
Pondering these goodnesses...
The man who put in my new battery for my old car was funny and even did a Scottish brogue for me. He was in very good humor, and incredibly kind and honest, especially for 7:30 a.m.

Aside from the beauty of the sky and the tall grasses on my friend's dad's acres in Twinsburg, I am pretty positive that my car that I spent four hours vacuuming is starting to look beautiful!!!!!

While staying in Twinsburg, due to it's close proximity to 3 nights of 3rd shift, *at the same place as the Gathering - with my anam cara's father), I have been offered the abundance of stories. I have had the opportunity to glimpse more of where he comes from, and hence, also, my dear Pache. I have been taking in a swirl of dreams, crushed and come true, pride in his daughter, and fear that he may not overcome certain obstacles in his future... Every moment here has been a chance for me to sit back, put my own life in order, and have the gift of grasping his life here...

Peace in your hearts,
With the love of my soul

Kindness: We didn't get many pictures with the Apples this summer because AppleJack had pnuemonia for weeks. A running buddy took this at breakfast after a race on Saturday and gave it to us, even though we run for another team.

Beauty: Sunrise as I finished my fourth mile this morning. Came home to find AppleJack curled up in a ball, sleeping like a little boy.

Abundance: All you need is deep within you waiting to unfold and reveal itself. All you have to do is be still and take time to seek for what is within, and you will surely find it. -- Eileen Caddy

Great pic of y'all, Sass.

I can also sum it up...espresso beans. Without coffee, I am unkind and grumpy. I am grateful they are in abundance. And I bet y'all think I am just being silly, but I figure I need to appreciate the little things, because all the little things add up to one big ole' gigantic magical moment to savor and remember forever.

Peace and Love,
Jo

Kindness: My BFF took a walk with me at lunch time.

Beauty: The wind lifted the edge of her skirt and swirled it around her like a model on a movie set.

Abundance: We function most powerfully when we are giving love. The world has led us to believe that our well-being is dependent on other people loving us. But this is the kind of upside-down thinking that has caused so many of our problems. The truth is that our well-being is dependent on our giving love. It is not about what comes back; it is about what goes out. Alan Cohen

Kindness and Abundance: My aforementioned friend who may move into my extra bedroom, delivered $120 in cash tonight to help avoid utilities being cutoff, and bought me dinner. It was also the first time she's actually seen my place. She has a job application in motion which would mean moving several hours away, but said now she is excited if she goes and excited if she stays, cuz she loves my place and "what a fun part of town to get to live in!" Reminded me how fortunate I am!

Beauty and Abundance: Took a walk on a hidden trail I just discovered about a month ago which is about 9-12 blocks from my house! (Who knew?) Beautiful shade and a nice little pond where the original dairy farm used to be, of the man who once owned all of the land that the neighborhood now sits upon.

The trail to the pond:

kindness, beauty and abundance all wrapped into one....

took myself to a movie and dinner. saw UP....beauty.
went to my fave neighborhood restaurant, alone..figured I'd splurge (feeling abundant).
just after i sat down, two old friends came in that i've been missing.
we all sat together to eat and laugh, and they paid the bill...kindness.

it was a lovely time!

Kindness: She left me alone so I could read my magazine in peace.

Beauty: The moon in the rearview mirror as I drove away.

Abundance: When the Saint needed help today, she came to me and I was grateful for the opportunity.

I got the coolest email with the kindest words from one of my peeps.

I sat on my back porch last night, writing in my notebook by the moonlight. I heard the crickets chirpping, the silence of the night (Yes, you can hear silence), and I felt completely at peace. Beauty!

I always have exactly what I need. Always. In abundance.

Peace and Love,
Jo

Mame - Beautiful!

Kindness: a friend shared invited me to enjoy potluck lunch even though i had nothing to contribute.

Beauty: the green grass and green trees in my yard.

Abundance: enjoying laughter and great food (cooked by my husband) around the table with most of my immediate family.

Thankful, yes. It's a good day.
Believe.

Thanks, Linda!

Kindness: My manager knew I wasn't feeling well, so he put together a box of all the brochures and forms I will need to make 50 packets at home for an enrollment next tuesday, while I just sat and worked on something on the laptop.

Beauty: I stood near a roaring bonfire with sparks flying all over the place in the wind tonight.

Abundance: I love my cushy comfy bed, and I am about to go crawl into it!

I Love all the things coming to Everyone! Yay!! Keep Sharing!!!

Hhhmm.. Alan..
~Personally~ I feel the whole Giving-Love thing to be the flip-side of the Receiving POV-coin mentioned above, implying pretty much the same notion that we are *More-Than* when we give of ourselves. I think this can be unhealthy.. & certainly against our true nature. Yes~ it's Popular with a great deal of other Humans... but, again.. (just My personal POV) fostering a belief that other humans' opinions are important to our reality, growth, expansion~ is never something I would subscribe to.

When we operate from (insert your preferred term of choice) our Highest/True Selves, we Are Love. We don't have to think about actively Giving-Of ourselves; (which can call in the whole belief of worthiness, validation, earning..)
I think that's working too hard, which is antithetic to a Spirit Way of doing things.. (i.e, Higher Self, etc.).. where, by being Connected, you naturally express yourself, & all whom are available to See/Receive are benefited.

Sometimes I see the whole thought pattern of extending oneself to another --now stay with me here-- can be a bit.. co-dependent.
Oh! Here's an example:

A client wanted to sell her house to her renters. And she wanted a certain amount for it. But she felt that it was a price the renters couldn't afford.
I suggested that, by lowering the price, it was a lose-lose situation, as not only would she be getting (& devaluing her desires) less than what she wanted, she was also, in effect, saying to the renters she didn't have faith in their abilities to manifest their own desires.
Aand, if They weren't meant to be the owners of her house, then obviously, they were getting out of the way for the ones that Were.

The next time we met, she told me that she kept the price the same, and not too soon after, the renters came into some money & bought her house.
Powerful Desire + Belief is unbeatable. Untouchable. Creates Worlds.

And done on one's own.
Obviously (or to some, not-so..) I'm not advocating lending a hand to those that could use it. (Habitat for Humanity, CPR, etc.)
I would just keep the intention of the action Clear to whether one was "helping" in the short-term, but hindering in the long, .. Or just lending a quick helping hand & allowing them to get themselves back on track.

+:.
